Diane Weimer
Diane Weimer dissects a piece of Sterling Silver with the skill of a surgeon effortlessly creating swoops, curves, and waves with a Green Lion saw and Rio’s Laser Gold 4/0 saw blades. The meditative rhythm of the saw creates a zone where no distractions can enter. It can be said that piercework is one piece that defines her style.

How does style portray itself in my work? Sometimes you would see a framework of fine silver, emerging after crushing and manipulating the form. The fingers change it into a charming design that cloaks the neck.. Style two.

Diane divides her time between creating and fabricating jewelry and offering classes in her studio like Color on Metal, or Hinging Mechanisms, or The Art of Metal Manipulation.

Retiring after 36 years as a public school teacher, she began taking jewelry classes at a local community college under Kristin Beeler and in 2010 she began holding classes in her studio bringing in teachers from all the United States.

Diane’s work has been seen in local California galleries.

Diane’s work can be seen in the Lark Books 500 Series publications including: 500 Gemstones and 500 Necklaces. Art Jewelry magazine has chosen to include four of her pieces in their publication for various issues.
