Painting has been a driving force in the life of Candice Gawne. Starting in 1982, she took time to learn how to combine neon tubes to create paintings that glowed. Mentored by Larry Albright in plasma they created some of her most lovely glowing sculptures. Yet, she returns to painting as it comes from the deepest place of feeling and inspiration. The passion for color and the force of light piercing the darkness are both dominant themes in all her work.
